I’m Cheri Head, a licensed independent insurance agent and unapologetic Medicare nerd. I read the fine print and actually enjoy figuring out the stuff that makes most people want to throw their laptop out a window.
I started Savvy Senior Solutions because I saw smart, capable people overwhelmed by a system far more confusing than it has any right to be. Medicare is full of rules, deadlines, tradeoffs, and expensive ways to get it wrong. Too often, people are handed a glossy brochure, told a plan has “great benefits,” and never shown the bigger picture.
That bothers me.
I don’t pretend every option is equally wonderful when it isn’t. I’ll tell you what I like and why, what concerns me, and when the answer is genuinely “it depends.” Because I work with multiple insurance companies, I can help compare options. Sometimes the best fit is Original Medicare with a supplement. Sometimes it’s Medicare Advantage. Sometimes the best move is leaving your coverage exactly as is.
